Poker professional Annie Duke and actor Don Cheadle are teaming up once again to host the Ant Up For Africa poker tournament. This year's event will be a part of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and is set to take place in July at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The funds raised from this tournament will support victims of the Darfur and Sudan crises.
The tournament has attracted numerous poker professionals and celebrities due to its noble cause. Last year, Ant Up For Africa raised over $700,000, and Duke and Cheadle hope to surpass this amount with this year’s event. They aim to unite the poker world and entertainment industry to support these important causes. Players are encouraged to donate half of their winnings to the charities involved.
This year’s tournament will feature a fast structure, aiming to conclude within five hours. Due to limited seating, interested participants should register early to secure their spot.
The funds raised will be donated to two charities: ENOUGH and NOT ON OUR WATCH. Both organizations work to prevent and end mass human atrocities. For more information about these charities, visit:
