The annual Pentasia Champions League, organized by iGaming specialists, was declared a resounding success. This year, the top honor went to the Swedish outfit Bettson Malta, outshining 22 teams from the IT and online gaming sectors.
The league, which spanned seven months, saw a total of 462 matches played. Notable participants included prominent names such as Betfair, Expekt, and Interwetten. The Fair Play Award was given to 6PM, while Danes Casino.dk emerged victorious in the Pentasia Cup, defeating OnDNet.
Chris Vella, Pentasia's Mediterranean Director and the organizer of the league, explained that the league was established in response to the increasing number of amateur football enthusiasts. The league has been well-received among IT and online gaming employees in Malta, leading to the creation of a formal league and administrative structure.
Vella expressed optimism for the future, stating that next year's campaign promises to be even better. He extended his gratitude to everyone who contributed to this year's success, noting that 22 teams participated and nine more have already expressed interest in joining next year's league. Additionally, Vella thanked the committee members for their invaluable support without expecting anything in return.
